       两届葛莱美奖最佳流行女歌手得主莎拉克劳克兰，以她独濯于一般泛泛流行乐音的歌声以及创作，跳脱出流行商业机制的摆弄，仿佛从一处超越俗尘外的境地，将她对音乐与自我的执着，汇成一道清流注入歌坛。这位来自加拿大的创作歌手不但以清澈蜿蜒川流般的歌声，服贴了许多听者的耳朵与心灵，她的创作更是将优美的旋律和展现出时而感动人心、时而露裎信念的多样面貌歌词包裹成流行抒情乐界最具个人风格的派别之一。

　　莎拉从小就学习钢琴和吉他，同时也受过歌唱训练。她在八０年代曾组过新浪潮乐团October Game，因为在团中出色的表现而被唱片公司发掘。步入歌坛的第一张专辑‘感触（Touch）’就幸运地获得全球发行的机会，莎拉的歌声因此从加拿大被引介到国外，也打开了她往竞争激烈的英美歌坛叩关的契机。接下来整个九０年代，莎拉陆续发表了几张叫好又叫座的专辑，像是充分表达其人文关怀的‘忘我的追寻（Fumbling Towards Ecstasy）’、继续伸张其世界观的‘自由会议 （The Freedom Sessions）’、1997年为她攫获首座葛莱美奖的‘透明专辑 （Surfacing）’、1999年展现其演唱实力并再度拿下一座葛莱美奖的‘水晶球深情现场精选（Mirrorball）’等等。而“Building A Mystery”、“I Will Remember You”、“Angel”…等曲，更让莎拉兼融优雅、神秘、深情的高醇度歌声，深植全球歌迷心中。除了创作与演唱自己的作品，莎拉也是著名的Lilith Fair音乐节的主要推手，藉着这个集结乐坛优秀女性音乐人的巡回演唱活动，莎拉让更多歌迷注意到女性创作者的杰出才华，并同时推广两性平权的社会意识。

　　本张专辑是莎拉六年来的第一张全新录音室作品，在这六年当中，莎拉在失去了挚爱的母亲之后又升格为人母，新的经验与角色不但让她从不一样的角度来看待许多事物，也让她发展出新的创作模式。以往会把自己关在小木屋里与世隔绝埋首创作的她，现在生活重心全在女儿身上，因此她被推回现实生活中，从日常生活里找寻创作的灵感，使得这整张专辑在沿袭以往的清致风格之余，也呈现出更形细腻的真实情绪表态。首支单曲“Fallen”在缥缈的背景上渲晕出深邃的美感，回响着莎拉的代表风格，又推展出另一番崭新的层次；“Answer”如耳语般的私密情绪纪录，是莎拉最钟爱的作品之一；“Time”则是将对时光飞逝的喟叹转换为带有美感的抒情诗篇。整张专辑以温柔旋律和诗意文字诚实表现出莎拉这些年的心境转换，就像莎拉为专辑名称所下的定义一般：透过余晖的柔光，你可以看到很多事物转换面貌的过程，你的心情也会跟著有所转变。

    太喜欢Sarah McLachlan 了，她的音乐深深触动我们内心最深最软的一根旋律，喜欢ANGLE，喜欢I will remember you，喜欢Fallen，喜欢她所有的歌，喜欢！

   中国只引进了3张专辑（到现在为止），她的好多歌都很难听到，好想有她所有的专辑。而现在好像不大可能：（
